About Patty

Patty is an accomplished Vocal Performance Coach and has been coaching individual voice students, small group ensembles, church choirs and a cappella choruses for over 45 years. She has directed two award winning choruses and sung in award-winning quartets for 35 years. Patty specializes in developing the entire performance skill of a singer.
 
Teaching students’ vocal performance skills is one of Patty’s greatest joys,alongside preparing the student for the “on stage” experience. Actors,singers, and speakers reap the benefits of Patty’s expertise. Throughout the years her abilities to teach and manage large groups, both professionals and volunteers, has honed her intuitive and empathic teaching competency.
 
Patty has also been successful for business professionals who need that extra finesse to present or sell ideas and proposals. She coaches speakers to improve their confidence and add pizzazz to their overall presentations. Patty guides her students towards a more assured speaking experience with impact.
 
Patty has been a member of the International Music Faculty of Sweet Adelines International coaching and teaching throughout the US. For 20 years, she has served on the faculty of the Barbershop Harmony Society’s Harmony University, a week-long summer camp.
 
In 2007 she moved to Nashville and worked at an international non-profit in support of a cappella singing. While living in Nashville and throughout her 45 years of coaching she has volunteered her talents to youth programs, church choirs and performing arts schools. She moved back home to Williamsburg, VA in 2015 and keeps busy by serving as Musical Director of the Williamsburg A cappella Singers. She loves teaching students of all ages in singing, acting and public speaking and continues to perform with the chorus throughout the Williamsburg area.
